Research Interests:
My research interest is to differentiate the pluripotent stem cells into type II pulmonary epithelial cells in order to use them as regenerative tools, and to decipher the roles of non-coding RNAs in the differentiation of stem cells. I am also interested in screening and developing small molecules to protect the influenza infection, and exploring the roles of neutrophils and platelets during the pathogenesis of influenza infection. Previously I focused on the studying the treatment effect of the stem cells, deficient of proteoglycans, on COPD and also the impact of proteoglycans in maintenance of adipose tissue homeostasis.
